Peter J Greensmith, Chief Executive
Peter Greensmith has over 25 years experience in Investment Banking, many of which have been spent working with clean technology companies.
He spent several years at Samuel Montagu and Hill Samuel before joining Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein. It was there that he became the COO of the Global Research Department before becoming a director of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, with responsibility for European private equity and mergers and acquisitions.
He was a founder and Executive Managing Director of Libertas Capital Group plc, a London quoted investment bank, focusing on advice and principal investments in the energy industry.
Peter became a non-executive director of Libra Natural Resources (AiM:LNR) in March 2005 and was appointed Chief Executive of the Company in May 2005. He is a Member of the Securities Institute.
James Allen, Research Analyst
James Allen joined London Bridge Capital in March 2007 as a Research Analyst in the Asset Management team. James is a leading UK analyst in carbon finance and renewable energy markets, having previously worked at Climate Change Capital in their corporate finance division and advising the world’s largest private Carbon Fund (C4F2). His experience ranges from carbon price and emissions modelling to advising on private placements and project finance investments in the renewable energy sector. James has worked with clients in Governments, regulatory agencies, corporates and private equity houses in policy evaluation and design, company valuation and financial modelling, and technology market research.
James has an MA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University (Clare College) and an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College, University of London.
Mark Campanale, Associate Director
Mark Campanale has over eighteen years experience in sustainable financial markets. Mark’s areas of knowledge are in the finance of clean tech companies, sustainable asset management and ecosystems services, principally forests. Recruited as one of the City’s first sustainable investment analysts in 1989, Mark is a co-founder of the sustainable investment businesses firstly at Jupiter Asset Management with the Ecology Funds (1989-1994); NPI with Global Care Funds (1994-1999); AMP Capital with the Sustainable Future Funds (2000-2001) and Henderson Global Investors with the Industries of the Future Fund (1999-2006). Mark is a Founder Director of the UK Social Investment Forum (1990-present), he served on the World Business Council for Sustainable Development working group on capital markets leading up to the 1992 Earth Summit; was a Member of the Steering Committee of UNEP Financial Sector Initiative (1999-2003), remains a Special Advisor, IFC Sustainable Financial Markets Trust Fund (2005-present) project on ecosecuritisation; serves as Hon Treasurer, The Rainforest Foundation (UK) (2004-present), and is a Director of The Methane Recovery Fund, for Carbon Capital Markets (2006-present). Mark was appointed a non-executive director of Libra Natural Resources plc (AIM:LNR) in March 2007.
Richard Finston, Managing Director Corporate Finance
Richard has over 18 years of Investment Banking experience, advising corporates from a range of sectors and geographical markets, on transactions including privatisations, mergers, acquisitions, public offers, disposals, fund raisings and debt issuance. He spent ten years in the corporate finance department at Kleinwort Benson (now Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein) before joining Deutsche Bank’s M & A team in 1999. In 2005 Richard left Deutsche Bank to set up his own corporate finance consultancy firm.
Ian Holness, Head of Corporate Brokerage
Ian has over 20 years experience in the city, servicing high net worth individuals and small institutions. He has extensive experience in the UK and North American small to mid cap market.
He started his career at Kitcat & Aitken and went on to work for Societe Generale, Williams De Broë, Barclays and latterly at Libertas Capital focusing on clean tech companies.
Gaudi Le Roux, Corporate Finance Analyst
Gaudi Le Roux joins LBC from a niche Corporate Finance boutique in South Africa where he was a Corporate Finance Analyst dealing with companies in the Mining sector as well as certain other sectors of the South African market. Gaudi has had exposure to various aspects of Corporate Finance and is a young and enthusiastic analyst. He graduated at the end of 2006 from the University of Cape Town with an Honours degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management (First class - with distinction). He is currently enrolled in the CFA Program and will be writing his level 2 exam in June 2008. Gaudi’s strengths lie in company valuation and financial modeling.
Alex Munro, Senior Corporate Finance Executive
Alex Munro moved to London Bridge Capital Limited from Fortis Bank, for which he worked internationally in the development and growth of new offices and energy portfolios for its Global Energy Group. His specialisations in this capacity were in the areas of renewable energies and alternative fuels. Prior work experience includes renewable energy strategy consulting for the BOC Group, hydrogen infrastructure and business development, and environmental management systems and consulting.
Alex holds a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Western Ontario (Canada), and an MBA from the Rotterdam School of Management (Netherlands) and the University of California, Berkeley (USA).
Jason Teichman, Executive for International Operations
Jason has over 20 years experience in the financial markets. Following a number of years broking in the international debt and convertible markets he spent three years at Collins Stewart Tullett, broking US and European equities.
An alumni of London Business School, prior to joining LBC he spent three years working as a Principal on a number of mergers & acquisitions and investment projects across a range of industries and regions.
Jason has held a number of Board positions and was until recently a non-executive Director of Enition plc (now Ethanol Investments plc), an AIM-listed investment company.
